Within days of just one 10-minute treatment—a few tiny injections—there's a noticeable improvement which can last up to 4 months, after which Botox starts to disappear, without breaking down or traveling through the body. BOTOX® is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those lines to form over time. There is no downtime, and normal daily activities can be resumed immediately following a treatment.
Studies have also suggested that Botox is effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

| Sclerotherapy (sp) | Call for pricing |
Sclerotherapy is a rather simple procedure where veins are injected with a sclerosing solution, which causes them to collapse and fade from view. The procedure may also remedy the bothersome symptoms associated with spider veins: aching, burning, swelling and night cramps. Women of any age may be good candidates for sclerotherapy, but most fall in the 30-to-60 category. The procedure treats only those veins that are currently visable; it does nothing to permanently prevent new veins from surfacing in the future. As time passes, you may find that you need "touch-ups" or full treatments for new veins that surface. A typical sclerotherapy session is relatively quick, lasting only about 15 to 45 minutes.
Although spider veins are connected with the larger venous system, they are not an essential part of it. A number of factors contribute to the development of spider veins, including:
- heredity
- pregnancy and other events that cause hormonal shifts
- weight gain
- occupations or activities that require prolonged sitting or standing
- use of certain medications.
